Lenore A. Grenoble is the John Matthews Manly Distinguished Service Professor at the University of Chicago, specializing in linguistics. Her research focuses on multilingualism, language contact/shift, and sustainability of Arctic Indigenous and Slavic languages. She works with communities in the Russian Far North and Greenland.

She co-authored Reconstructing Non-Standard Languages (2022) and edited volumes on language contact and revitalization. Her teaching includes courses on multilingualism theory and practice.
