Anette Briksdal is a Research Fellow in Scandinavian Linguistics at the University of Oslo's Department of Linguistics and Scandinavian Studies, affiliated with the Faculty of Humanities. She is a PhD candidate in the SPEAKERS project, focusing on Indigenous language resilience, particularly the role of parenthood in Sámi revitalization.
- Education: Master's thesis on multilingual children's language acquisition and choices at Østfold University College.
- Teaching/Editorial Work: Experience in multilingualism, sociolinguistics, and language acquisition at Østfold University College.
Research Interests: Her work examines how parental language choices and practices contribute to the revitalization of endangered Sámi languages. She explores language acquisition dynamics in multidialectal environments and the sociolinguistic factors influencing language maintenance.
Publications: Recent article (2024) analyzes early language choices of children in multidialectal contexts, published in Målbryting.
