Lenora P. Ledwon serves as Professor of Law at St. Thomas University College of Law in Miami Gardens, Florida, where she teaches Law & Literature, Legal Storytelling and Persuasion, Contracts, and Evidence courses within the Faculty Suite (209).
Her academic credentials include a B.A. magna cum laude and M.A. from Oakland University, a J.D. from the University of Michigan, and a Ph.D. in English from the University of Notre Dame (awarded with highest honors).
Professor Ledwon's research pioneers interdisciplinary connections between legal theory and narrative frameworks. Her seminal book Law and Literature: Text and Theory analyzes how storytelling shapes legal interpretation, while her co-edited casebook Law and Popular Culture explores jurisprudence through media and cultural artifacts. This scholarship manifests in publications across leading journals including Harvard Women’s Law Journal, Yale Journal of Law and Feminism, and American Indian Quarterly, establishing her expertise at the intersection of evidence law, literary theory, and cultural studies.
