Prof. Lena Ziese is a Professor of Art Pedagogy and Fine Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts Nuremberg (AdBK Nürnberg). Her academic and artistic practice revolves around the intersections of art, education, and community engagement. Prior to her current position, she held roles at Bauhaus University Weimar (2011-2012) and Hamburg University of Fine Arts (2012-2018). She studied art and politics in Kassel and Berlin in the 1990s, followed by a career as an exhibiting artist and curator. Her work emphasizes mediating artistic practices through exhibitions, publications, and interdisciplinary projects. Notably, she co-curated exhibitions such as Right Brain Problems (2013) and led a 12-village artistic initiative in Brandenburg (2019-2021).
