Laila Auburger is a Lecturer in analogue photography at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste Nürnberg (AdBK Nuremberg) and head of the Photography Workshop at the KunstKulturQuartier Nuremberg since 2016. She holds a Master's degree in photography from AdBK Nuremberg under Prof. Heike Baranowsky, with guest studies at AdBK Vienna under Prof. Yair Guttmann. Her artistic practice focuses on photography and sculpture, including works like the camera obscura installation Light, silent (2019) and the ongoing air in motion series.
Key exhibitions include Cyclones (2019, Atelier- und Galeriehaus Defet), Trail used by wild animals (2018, Galerie Sima), and the 2018 Bavarian Cultural Prize. Her academic roles involve teaching analogue techniques and guiding students through the Photography Workshop. She has exhibited widely, including in Berlin, Vienna, and Halle, emphasizing themes of nature, collaboration, and conceptual art.
Auburger’s work bridges traditional photographic methods with contemporary艺术探索, showcasing in both institutional and independent spaces. Her research interests align with the intersection of technology, environment, and human interaction, reflected in both her teaching and artistic output.
