Dr Lena Von Schuckmann is a Senior Research Fellow and Honorary Senior Fellow at the Frazer Institute, affiliated with the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences at The University of Queensland. A clinician researcher with dual medical specialist training in dermatology and general practice, she focuses on skin cancer prevention, early detection, and optimizing treatments while improving patient cancer journeys.

Research Interests: Her work spans skin cancer epidemiology, melanoma recurrence risk factors, sun safety education, AI applications in dermatology, and clinical trials evaluating therapeutic interventions. She leads studies on melanoma downstaging, dietary impacts on cancer recurrence, and AI's role in diagnostic accuracy.
