Erin McMeniman

Associate Professor Erin McMeniman is a Principal Research Fellow at the Frazer Institute and an affiliate of the Dermatology Research Centre, both within the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences at The University of Queensland. She is available for supervision and has contributed extensively to dermatological research.

Her research spans melanoma genetics, inflammatory skin diseases, hidradenitis suppurativa, and 3D imaging applications in dermatology. Her work includes studies on CDKN2A testing thresholds and TYR/OCA2 gene variants in melanoma, as well as pharmaceutical management of rosacea. Recent publications highlight collaborations with dermatologists and geneticists on topics like cytokine profiling and dupilumab cost-effectiveness.

Grants: She has secured funding from the Australasian College of Dermatologists, Emergency Medicine Foundation, PA Research Foundation, and ABBVIE Pty Ltd for projects on AI and 3D skin imaging, melanoma early detection, and hidradenitis suppurativa treatment.
