Lena Hübner is a Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor at the Department of Social Work, Stockholm University. She is a member of the Addiction Research Group (ARG), led by Professor Anders Bergmark, focusing on alcohol policy, public health, and evidence-based social work.
Research Interests include addiction studies, alcohol consumption trends, policy analysis, and the impact of language on professional-client dynamics in social work. Her work explores how societal changes and EU integration influence alcohol-related attitudes and public health strategies.
- Publications analyze the weakening link between alcohol consumption and related problems in Sweden, terminology in social services, cross-national comparisons of evidence-based practice adoption in Finland and Sweden, and temporal shifts in alcohol policy perceptions.
