Dr. Lena Caesar is a distinguished academic with a focus on advancing clinical practices in speech-language pathology (SLP) for culturally and linguistically diverse (CLD) populations. Her work bridges language assessment, literacy development, and interdisciplinary health sciences, emphasizing the preparation of SLPs to serve CLD children and families.
- Education: B.S. in Communication Disorders (Andrews University), M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology (University of Wisconsin-Madison), Ed.D. in Special Education, and Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences (Western Michigan University).
Her research targets the challenges faced by SLPs in diagnosing language disorders within CLD communities. She has contributed to publications on narrative analysis, preschool assessment, and training frameworks, with a focus on ecological validity and global health initiatives like WHO 2030.
