معرفی
Lelinh Duong is an early career Research Fellow at the University of Western Australia (UWA), focusing on ageing immunology and macrophage biology. She earned her PhD in Immunology (2024) and BSc(Hons) from Curtin University, researching mechanisms of macrophage dysfunction in elderly tumour microenvironments. Previously, she held roles including Associate Lecturer, Research Officer, and Sessional Academic at Curtin University (2019–2023).
Her research explores how ageing impacts immune responses, particularly in cancer contexts. She investigates macrophage dysfunction in tumour environments and has expanded into studying drug allergies and plastic exposure effects on health. Key areas include mesothelioma, CSF-1 receptor signaling, and iron homeostasis in the brain during ageing.
Dr. Duong’s work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health and environmental sustainability. She is part of the Lucas Group at UWA, advancing interdisciplinary research on immunology and environmental health.
