Leila Pourtavaf is an Assistant Professor at the Department of History, York University. She previously held visiting positions at New York University, including a Visiting Scholar role at the Hagop Kevorkian Center for Near Eastern Studies (2020–2021) and a Visiting Assistant Professor of Modern Middle East History at the Department of Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies (2018–2020).
