Leila Hudson is an Associate Professor of Anthropology and Near Eastern Studies/Judaic Studies at the University of Arizona. Her office is located in Marshall Building, Room 440. Her research focuses on the modern Middle East, Central Asia, and Inner Asia, with specific interests in historical anthropology, political economy, and social theory.
Key research areas include the anthropology of the Middle East, theories of nationalism and imperialism, and sociocultural transformations in Southwest and Central Asia. Her work bridges historical analysis with contemporary ethnological frameworks.
