Dr. Lei Zeng is a Lecturer and Year Manager in Fashion Business and Technology at the University of Manchester, affiliated with the Department of Materials. She holds a PhD in Textile-Based Composites (2020) and previously worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate developing novel Jacquard textile color systems. Her research spans sustainable materials, smart textiles, and functional fabrics, emphasizing integration of research into teaching. She became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) in 2019 and is a Fellow of the Textile Institute. She coordinates courses like Performance Polymer Fibre and Textiles and Contemporary Issues in Fashion and Textiles.
