Dr. Nora Lefa is Associate Professor of Visual Arts with emphasis on Audiovisual Media-Video Art at the University of Ioannina's School of Fine Arts. An architect and visual artist, she holds multiple graduate degrees and has lectured internationally at institutions including the Technical University of Crete and University of Sarajevo. Her artistic research explores human competitive nature and dominance behaviors through diverse media including video, installation, and digital art.
Research interests focus on audiovisual expressions of human social dynamics, architectural interactions, and cross-disciplinary approaches blending visual arts with spatial design. She has exhibited globally in venues from New York to Venice and participated in major biennials including Sarajevo, Tel-Aviv, and Istanbul.
Publications examine reality perception in art, design pedagogy, and human-architecture relationships. Recent books include 'Sarajevo Again' (2020) and 'Buildings Used' (2019), co-authored architectural studies.
She supervises the Video Art-Audiovisual Studio and previously co-founded the artistic platform Lo & Behold. Teaching emphasizes technical innovation and conceptual development in audiovisual media.
