Leeat Yariv is the Uwe E. Reinhardt Professor of Economics at Princeton University and Director of the Princeton Experimental Laboratory for the Social Sciences (PExL). She earned her Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University and holds degrees in Mathematics and Physics from Tel-Aviv University.
Her research spans experimental economics, game theory, and political economy, with focus areas including matching markets, social networks, and decision-making under uncertainty. She employs laboratory and field experiments to study strategic behavior and market design.
Professor Yariv has received numerous honors including membership in the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, Best Paper awards, and multiple NSF grants. She has advised over 30 doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers, contributing significantly to economic theory and experimental methodology.
She currently co-edits Econometrica and has previously served as Lead Editor for the American Economic Journal: Microeconomics. Her work integrates theoretical rigor with empirical validation across diverse economic domains.
