Eddie Dekel is the William R. Kenan, Jr. Professor of Economics at Northwestern University and the Grace and Daniel Ross Professor of Economics at Tel Aviv University. He holds a PhD from Harvard University (1986) and a B.A. in Economics and Statistics from Tel Aviv University (1981). His research focuses on decision theory, game theory foundations, mechanism design with evidence, and voting theory. He is a Fellow of the Econometric Society, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the Society for the Advancement of Economic Theory.
Key professional roles include past editor of Econometrica, current associate editor of Theoretical Economics, and former president of the Econometric Society. His work spans grants such as the NSF-funded studies on evidence in economic models ($235,000) and mechanism design with costly verification ($275,308). He has also served on numerous academic committees and organized major conferences like the 2010 World Congress of the Econometric Society.
