Lee Hyunjeong Oh

Lee Hyunjeong Oh is a Senior Lecturer of Korean at Georgia Tech's School of Modern Languages, where she has taught since 2010. She coordinates the Korean program (since Fall 2021) and the LBAT program (since Spring 2020). Her teaching spans all levels of Korean language courses, including developed courses like Business Korean and courses integrating media (e.g., K-Pop/Film/Drama). She actively advises five student organizations: Korean Undergraduate Student Association, GT Seoulstice, GT Oscar Band, K-Buzz K-Pop Club, and GT Navy ROTC Club.

Education: M.Ed. in Education (Cleveland State University, 1999); B.A. in Korean Language & Literature (Yonsei University, 1996).

Research focuses on innovative teaching methods and service-learning in language education. She presented at the University System of Georgia Teaching and Learning Conference on topics like synchronous online language teaching and advanced language course design.

Awards include the 2016 Class of 1940 Teaching Effectiveness Award and multiple CIOS Honor Roll recognitions (2020-2022). Her 2023 publication explores service-learning applications in Korean language programs.
