Danielle Geary

Dr. Danielle Geary is a Senior Lecturer of Spanish at Georgia Institute of Technology's School of Modern Languages. She has extensive experience in study abroad program direction, ethnographic research in Costa Rica, and online language education innovation. Since 2010, she has earned multiple teaching awards, including the 2023 Distinguished Non-Tenure Track Academic Faculty Teaching Award and 2024 Student Recognition of Excellence in Teaching CIOS Award. She pioneered Georgia Tech's first online Spanish program and developed courses like Spanish for the Professions and Conversation Practicum.

Education: Master's in Spanish from the University of Salamanca (Spain), Doctor of Education from Nova Southeastern University with a focus on study abroad and foreign language acquisition.
