A. Lee Burns is Professor of Art at Smith College, teaching design and sculpture since 1977. His artistic practice spans wood/stone carving, welding, bronze casting, and abstract mirror-polished bronze sculptures. Current creative work focuses on carving functional and non-functional pieces from black ash burls.
