Lee Bone is an Associate Professor at Johns Hopkins University, jointly appointed in the Bloomberg School of Public Health, School of Medicine, and School of Nursing. She is affiliated with the Department of Health, Behavior and Society and contributes to centers including the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Disparities Solutions, the Center for Health Services and Outcomes Research (CHSOR), and the Johns Hopkins Institute for Clinical and Translational Research.

Dr. Bone is a community-driven researcher whose work focuses on urban health, chronic disease, and health equity, particularly in African-American communities. Her research interests include community-based participatory research, health disparities, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer prevention, tobacco control, and the role of community health workers in intervention and sustainability. She integrates multi-disciplinary partnerships to address social determinants of health and improve health services delivery.

Articles such as the RICH LIFE trial and systematic reviews of the Hill-Bone compliance scale demonstrate her leadership in measuring and improving adherence and outcomes in underserved populations.
