Lee Ballard

Lee Ballard is a Senior Lecturer of Sport Coaching and Development at the School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation, University of St Mark & St John. He teaches courses on sport development, coaching, football development, and inclusive coaching practices.

His research focuses on redefining the role of coach developers as learning designers, exploring how artificial intelligence and large language models can support student learning, and developing posthuman approaches to sport coaching. Ballard investigates how these approaches can enhance coaching effectiveness and athlete development.

As External Examiner for multiple institutions including UCFB, University of Gloucestershire, and Myerscough College, Ballard contributes to curriculum development in football coaching and sport business programs.
