Dr. Leasha M. Barry, PhD, BCBA-D, LBA, is the founder and director of the Center for Behavior Analysis at the University of West Florida, where she established one of the first Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)-approved curricula globally. Her work integrates Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), special education, and early intensive behavioral intervention to address challenges in diverse populations, including those with developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
- Research Focus: Application of ABA to at-risk populations, spanning neonatal intensive care and juvenile justice systems.
- Community Impact: Collaborated with stakeholders to create the Autism Center at Sacred Heart Hospital (Pensacola, FL), offering differential diagnosis, ABA services, and student practicum opportunities.
