Dr. Leane Hoey is a Lecturer in Human Nutrition at the School of Biomedical Sciences, Ulster University, within the Faculty of Life & Health Sciences. She holds a PhD in Human Nutrition and has extensive research experience in B-vitamins and their role in health outcomes, particularly in older adults. Notably, she coordinated the Trinity, Ulster Department of Agriculture Aging Cohort (TUDA) study, exploring gene-nutrient interactions and aging-related diseases. Her teaching focuses on nutrition claims, consumer behavior, and dietary assessment. She is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) and a member of the Nutrition Society.
