Dr. Pamela Magee is a Senior Lecturer in Human Nutrition and Academic Division Head for Food, Nutrition and Dietetics at Ulster University's School of Biomedical Sciences. She holds a BSc Hons (1996) and PhD (2000) from Ulster University. Her career includes a postdoctoral fellowship at University College Dublin (2000-2001) and a Research Associate role at Ulster University’s Nutrition Innovation Centre for Food & Health (NICHE) (2001-2005), focusing on phytoestrogens and cancer. She became a Lecturer in 2006 and was promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2015. She previously led the BSc Human Nutrition and BSc Food & Nutrition programs.
Her teaching emphasizes Sports Nutrition at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Research interests span soya isoflavones, vitamin D, sports nutrition, and phytochemicals in cancer. She has authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications in these areas.
