Dr. Catherine Hughes is a Senior Lecturer in Public Health Nutrition at Ulster University's School of Biomedical Sciences, within the Faculty of Life & Health Sciences. She holds a PhD in Human Nutrition (2010) and is a Registered Nutritionist (Public Health) with the Association for Nutrition. Her research focuses on nutrition and healthy aging, leading initiatives like the Centre for Excellence in Nutrition and Ageing (CENA) and coordinating the TUDA study involving 5,000 older adults. She has secured over £3.5M in research grants and published extensively in high-impact journals.
