Leah Rand, DPhil, serves as a Lecturer on Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital and as a Research Scientist with the Program on Regulation, Therapeutics, and Law (PORTAL) at the same institution. She is also an Affiliate of the Harvard Medical School Center for Bioethics, where she contributes to academic programs and research initiatives at the intersection of ethics and health policy.

Dr. Rand's research program centers on prescription drug pricing policy, with a focus on achieving fair pricing mechanisms, advancing health technology assessment methodologies, and improving healthcare access. She investigates ethical dimensions of public trust in regulatory agencies, particularly regarding innovative biomedical technologies and health technology appraisal.
