LeAnne Martinelli, DHSc, RPh, PA-C, is the Program Director of the Physician Assistant Studies program at Agnes Scott College. She holds a Doctor of Health Science and is a nationally certified and Georgia-licensed Physician Assistant, actively contributing to clinical education and program leadership.
Her research and teaching interests focus on enhancing pharmacology education through active learning strategies and supporting struggling students via study skills development, academic resources, and remediation curriculum design. She integrates accreditation standards and assessment practices into her educational framework.
Dr. Martinelli is recognized for her excellence in medical education, having received the Outstanding Faculty Educator award from Emory University School of Medicine and the Faculty Achievement Award from the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants. She is also a member of Pi Alpha, the national honor society for physician assistants.

She is actively involved in professional service, serving as a Site Visitor for the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) and as a Delegate for Georgia in the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) House of Delegates. She previously served as Immediate Past President of the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants (GAPA) and is a member of both AAPA and the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA).
Dr. Martinelli's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Master of Medical Science from Emory University School of Medicine’s Physician Assistant Program, and a Doctor of Health Science from Nova Southeastern University.
