Layla Hajjam-Demir

Layla Hajjam-Demir is a Research Associate and Doctoral Student at the Chair of Information Systems I, Innovation and Value Creation, within the School of Business, Economics and Society at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU). Her work focuses on the intersection of information systems, innovation management, and digital transformation.

Her research explores the application of artificial intelligence in service systems and harmonizing innovation processes through digital tools and cross-functional collaboration. Recent publications highlight her contributions to characterizing AI-enabled agents in service ecosystems and aligning innovation workflows across organizations.

Layla has gained professional experience at Siemens Healthineers, Fraunhofer IIS, and BASF SE, alongside international exposure in Brussels (Belgium) during her bachelor’s and Istanbul (Turkey) during her master’s studies. She is actively involved in interdisciplinary research projects at FAU, focusing on digital transformation and value creation.
