Lawrence Volk

Larry Volk is a Professor of Photography in the Department of Visual Communications at Endicott College's School of Visual and Performing Arts. He specializes in documentary photography, video production, and digital imaging. His research explores themes like Holocaust legacy through family history, blending visual art with narrative storytelling.

Research interests include location lighting, multimedia production, and photographic artist books. Recent projects focus on familial Holocaust narratives through mixed media. He authored a widely used educational text on portfolio design with co-author David Currier. Active in academic instruction, he teaches courses ranging from introductory photography techniques to professional practices and senior thesis projects.

Notable exhibitions include solo shows at Bromfield Gallery (2019) and Endicott College's Spenser Presentation Gallery (2019), both titled 'Visual Larder'. Presented at conferences such as the Society for Photographic Education National Conference (2017) and workshops at the Griffin Museum of Photography (2017).
