Hannah S. Allen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Art and Art History at Adelphi University’s College of Arts and Sciences. She also serves as Co-Director of the Museum Studies Program. Her teaching focuses on photography and digital media, emphasizing the interpretive and transformative nature of art-making.

Allen’s research explores the intersection of photography, history, and digital media, particularly how visual representation intersects with themes of war, cultural identity, and borderlands. Her work examines the ephemeral nature of historical documentation and its impact on future narratives.

Her creative scholarship includes solo and group exhibitions that interrogate urban landscapes, conflict representation, and narrative structures, often blending traditional and digital media.
