Lawrence D. W. Schmidt is the Victor J. Menezes Career Development Assistant Professor of Finance at the MIT Sloan School of Management. He holds a PhD and MA in Economics from the University of California, San Diego, and previously served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Chicago’s Kenneth C. Griffin Department of Economics. His research bridges finance and macro-labor economics, focusing on household risk exposures, institutional investor behavior, and labor market dynamics.
