Lawrence Christiano

Lawrence Christiano is the Alfred W. Chase Professor of Economics at Northwestern University's Weinberg College of Arts & Sciences. He holds a PhD from Columbia University (1982) and has been a faculty member since 1992. His research focuses on monetary and fiscal policy responses to business cycle shocks, combining empirical model estimation with optimal policy computation. He is a Fellow of the Econometric Society and a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research.
