Lawana V. Brown, MSN, WHNP-BC, serves as Assistant Professor and Program Director for the online Women's Health Nurse Practitioner program at Regis College since Fall 2020. She concurrently provides clinical care at the University of South Carolina's Center for Health and Well-Being, specializing in women's health services for college-aged patients including screenings and contraceptive management.
Her academic credentials include:

- MSN with WHNP certification from the University of Cincinnati (2012)
Dr. Brown's professional focus centers on expanding reproductive health education and access to long-acting reversible contraception through statewide initiatives. Her work addresses critical gaps in prenatal care and teen pregnancy prevention, particularly in rural communities, leveraging funding from the Choosewell grant and New Morning Foundation over the past five years.
As Program Director, she shapes curriculum development and educational strategies for the Women's Health Program, emphasizing community-based interventions and evidence-based clinical practice to train future nurse practitioners.
