Lavinia Moldovan is an Associate Professor in Economics, Justice, and Policy Studies at Mount Royal University. Her teaching spans microeconomics, gender economics, econometrics, statistics, and development economics.
Her research focuses on pedagogical innovations in economics education, emphasizing the integration of quantitative analysis, spatial data visualization, and photography to enhance conceptual understanding. She aims to demonstrate economics' applicability to real-world questions through multidisciplinary approaches.
Prior to joining MRU as faculty in 2018, she taught at University of Lethbridge, St. Mary's University, and University of Calgary. She holds a BA from Romania and MA from Slovakia, with doctoral studies at University of Calgary.
