Dr. Robyn Madden is a Senior Lecturer at Mount Royal University (MRU), where she holds a PhD in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary. Her research focuses on nutrition and dietary supplement use in athletic and clinical populations, particularly para athletes and those with rare diseases. She received the 2019 MRU Alumni Achievement Horizon Award for her contributions to para research. Her teaching spans nutrition, adapted physical activity, research methodologies, and sport management.
Education: PhD in Kinesiology (University of Calgary), BHPE and BBA (Mount Royal University).
Research emphasizes dietary patterns, supplements, and wearable technology in sports and health. Her work addresses nutritional barriers for para athletes and explores caffeine's impact on performance. Presentations include conferences on adapted physical activity and mitochondrial disease.
