Laurie Lawyer

Laurie Lawyer is an Associate Professor in the Linguistics Department at the University of California, Davis. Her research addresses language processing in spoken and signed languages, including English, French, Kinyarwanda, Mandarin, and British Sign Language, with a focus on how phonological and morphological structures of lexical items influence perception and interact with syntactic frameworks. She also investigates phonological and lexical processing in typically developing children and those with specific language disorders.
