Laurie Harmon is a Professor in the Department of Recreation Management and Therapeutic Recreation at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Her research focuses on social-psychological outcomes of nature-based recreation, technology’s role in outdoor engagement, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. She transitioned from a landscape architecture career to academia, earning a Ph.D. in Leisure Studies from Penn State University.
