Lauren Duffy is an Associate Professor and Undergraduate Coordinator in the Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management at Clemson University's College of Behavioral, Social and Health Sciences. Her research bridges critical leisure and tourism studies with social justice frameworks, focusing on power dynamics, gender equity, and sustainable development in Global South contexts.

Her work explores tourism planning in marginalized communities, digital technology's impact on leisure, and critical pedagogy in tourism education. Recent publications analyze homestays in Nepal, smartphone-mediated leisure alienation, and Black student experiences abroad.
