Laurie Fleming

Laurie Fleming is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy, where she also serves as the Director of Professional Experience Programs and Experiential Affairs. She is based at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) and plays a key leadership role in shaping experiential education for pharmacy students.

Her primary research and professional interests lie in experiential education and the scholarship of teaching and learning. With a strong clinical background, Dr. Fleming has contributed to pharmacist-led diabetes management services and community pharmacy practice, integrating real-world experience into academic training. Her work emphasizes practical, patient-centered learning and curriculum development in pharmacy education.

She has held significant clinical and educational roles, including Program Director of the University of Mississippi PGY-1 Community Pharmacy Residency Program. Carmichael Family Health Center and UMMC Endocrinology Clinic, bridging clinical expertise with academic instruction.
