Laurie Babin is an Instructional Associate Professor of Business Administration at the University of Mississippi, affiliated with the School of Business Administration and the Department of Marketing, Analytics and Professional Sales. She joined the university in 2019, bringing decades of academic and professional experience.

- Ph.D. in Business Administration, Louisiana State University-Baton Rouge (1992)
Her research focuses on marketing, consumer behavior, and business ethics, with publications in journals such as the Journal of Advertising, Journal of Business Research, and Business Ethics Quarterly. She has been actively involved in professional organizations, serving two terms as President of the Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship.

Prior to her academic career, Dr. Babin served as an instructor at the U.S. Naval Nuclear Power School from 1982–1986 and retired at the rank of Commander after 21 years in the United States Naval Reserve. She has also held faculty positions at the University of Louisiana Monroe and the University of Southern Mississippi.
