Laurent BIRONNEAU is a Full Professor at the University of Rennes 1, affiliated with the IAE Rennes School of Business and the CREM UMR CNRS 6211. He holds roles such as Director of Studies for Master’s programs in Accounting, Production Management, and Supply Chain Management, and Director of the Continuing Education and Work-Study Department. His research focuses on supply chain optimization, blockchain applications in logistics, sustainable inventory management, and ERP systems. He has published extensively on blockchain integration in supply chains, transaction cost analysis, and logistics management strategies. BIRONNEAU has supervised PhD students on blockchain-related projects and contributes to academic events as a reviewer and organizer. His work bridges theory and practice, emphasizing field-based studies and collaborations with industry partners.
Teaching activities include Production Management, Logistics Management, and ERP systems. He co-chairs the Score IAE-Message Association and serves on multiple boards, including the ESC Rennes School of Business and the Université de Rennes 1. His research spans 30+ years, with over 50 publications in journals like Revue française de gestion industrielle and Logistique. He has led projects such as the RCSM initiative on supply chain finance and collaborates with competitiveness clusters like Nov@log.
