Laurence Armand French is a Senior Researcher and Affiliate Professor of Justice Studies at the University of New Hampshire's College of Liberal Arts. With dual PhDs in Sociology (UNH) and Cultural Psychology (Nebraska-Lincoln), his work focuses on comparative justice systems, particularly concerning Native Americans and border conflicts.
His research examines international criminal justice, Native American rights, police psychology, and forensic psychology. Recent publications analyze policing in Indian Country and North American border conflicts through historical, political, and ethical lenses.
Dr. French has received multiple honors including a Marquis Who's Who Lifetime Achievement Award and Fulbright Specialist appointments. His service includes roles as Department Chair, Dean, and Vice-Rector at various institutions.
