Dr. Lauren Kierans is a Lecturer in Law at Maynooth University, specializing in whistleblowing law. She joined the university in 2019 and teaches undergraduate and professional courses on whistleblowing, tort law, and legal policy. Her research focuses on whistleblower protection frameworks, comparative law, and legislative compliance with EU directives. Kierans holds a PhD from Middlesex University on the Irish Protected Disclosures Act 2014 and has authored/co-authored multiple books, articles, and guidelines on whistleblowing law. She founded the Irish Whistleblowing Law Society (IWLS) and co-founded the European Whistleblowing Institute (EWI), advancing education and policy on whistleblower safeguarding.
