Lauren Houser

Lauren Houser is an Associate Professor in the Department of Marketing at the University of Akron's College of Business. With over a decade of academic and professional experience, she specializes in marketing education, brand management, and sales strategies.

• Education: MBA from The Ohio State University, BS from Youngstown State University.

Her research focuses on validating tools for assessing sales career intent and improving marketing pedagogy. She has contributed to the Journal of Marketing Education with her 2022 study on the Intent to Pursue a Sales Career Scale.

Lauren actively engages in service roles, including serving as a judge for the College of Business Administration (CBA) Fall Writing Contest in 2015. She teaches foundational courses such as Marketing Principles, Integrated Marketing Communications, and Brand Management, alongside Sales Management and Marketing Research.
