Laure Vidal-Beaudet

Laure Vidal-Beaudet is a Professor of Urban Agronomy at Institut Agro Rennes-Angers, affiliated with the Department of Physical Environment, Landscape, and Territory (MilPPaT). Her work focuses on the physical fertility and engineering of constructed urban soils for sustainable city development.

• Education: Habilitation to Supervise Research (2015, University of Angers), Doctorate in Environmental Sciences (1998, ENSAR), DEA in Pedology (1991, University of Nancy I), and Diploma in Horticultural Techniques Engineering (1988, National School of Agricultural Works Engineers, Angers).

Research Interests: She investigates urban soils (Technosols), analyzing their physical, mechanical, and biological properties to support ecological functions and sustainable urban planning. Her projects aim to create decision-support tools and practical guides for soil construction using urban waste.

• BISES Project (2020-25): Developing biological quality indicators for urban soils across four French cities.
• SITERRE II Project (2023-26): Advancing waste revaluation and soil durability knowledge for urban greening.
