معرفی
Laure Bally-Cuif is a faculty member at the Pasteur Institute, where she has served as Head of the Zebrafish Neurogenetics Laboratory since 2016. Her career spans leadership roles in neuroscience research institutions across France and Germany, including Group Leader at the Institute for Neuroscience Paris-Saclay (2010-2016) and Department Leader at HelmholtzZentrum Muenchen (2006-2009).
- Developmental biology
- Neurogenesis
- microRNAs
- Neural stem cells
- Zebrafish neurogenetics
- Notch signaling
Her research focuses on neural stem cell dynamics, microRNA regulation, and zebrafish models of brain development and behavior. Publications highlight her work on Notch signaling in stem cell quiescence, microRNA-9's nuclear role, and zebrafish behavioral genetics linked to ADHD and aggression.
- Silver Medal of the CNRS (2017)
- ERC Advanced Grant (2013-2018)
- EMBO Membership (2016)
- Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Prize (2006)
She has secured prestigious grants such as the ERC Advanced Grant and ANR Chair of Excellence Senior, advancing studies in neural stem cell biology and zebrafish neurogenetics. Her work bridges molecular mechanisms with behavioral outcomes in the vertebrate brain.
