Prof. Dr. Ana Martin-Villalba is a W3 Professor and Division Head at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) since 2011, leading the Department of Molecular Neurobiology. She combines her academic role with research on neurobiology, stem cell signaling, and glioblastoma.
- Education: MD from University of Heidelberg (1998) and Murcia (1995), Habilitation (2007) at Heidelberg, and Master of Management (2011) from St. Gallen.
Her research focuses on CD95 signaling in neural stem cells, glioblastoma progression, and neurodegeneration. She has pioneered work on the role of CD95 in apoptosis regulation, neurovascular development, and immune cell infiltration.
