Lauralee Guilbault is a Lecturer in Physical Sciences at Alverno College, where she has been teaching since 1993. She contributes to both undergraduate education and specialized programs like Alverno’s Girls’ Academy of Science and Mathematics, designed to engage high school girls in STEM fields.
Research & Teaching Interests: Her expertise spans analytical chemistry, environmental chemistry, and innovative pedagogical approaches integrating art into science education. She emphasizes practical applications of chemistry in everyday contexts (e.g., cooking, cleaning) and sustainability-focused courses such as 'Sustainability and Technology in a Changing World.'
Education & Affiliations: She holds a BS in Chemistry with a Mathematics minor from Northland College and a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She is a member of the Midwest Association of Chemistry Teachers in Liberal Arts Colleges and previously served as their Wisconsin state representative. Additionally, she acts as Alverno’s faculty athletic representative to the NCAA.
