Laura Steele is a University Teacher in Sport Pedagogy at Loughborough University, where she completed her Secondary PGCE in Physical Education in 2007. She holds a BA in Physical Education from Leeds Beckett University and a master's in Sport History and Culture from De Montfort University. Prior to her current role, she taught in secondary and primary schools in the UK and Spain, and served as HE Teaching and Learning Lead and Course Leader for the BSc Sports Coaching Degree at Loughborough College.
Her teaching and leadership roles span diverse educational contexts, including international schools, further education institutions, and undergraduate programs. Laura currently focuses on undergraduate sport pedagogy modules within the Sport Science, Coaching, and Physical Education degree programs at Loughborough University.
Her research and professional interests include sport pedagogy methodologies, physical education curriculum development, and the historical and cultural dimensions of sport education. She has extensive experience in both primary and secondary teaching, alongside leadership in higher education.
