Estelle Damant is a University Teacher in Physical Education and Sports Pedagogy at Loughborough University. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science (2004), an MSc in the Sociology of Sport (2005), and a PGCE in Physical Education (2006), all from Loughborough University. After teaching in secondary schools, she became a Lecturer in Physical Education and Sports Science at Loughborough College, leading the HND Sports Science Programme until 2013. She completed her PhD at Loughborough University in 2020, examining curriculum policy’s impact on pupils’ perceptions of health and ability. Currently, she leads modules for the PGCE PE programme and the SSCaPE undergraduate programme’s 'Fundamentals of Teaching Physical Education'.
